‘Your Love Life’ Event

Our ‘Your Love Life’ event was held on Tuesday 28th February 2017, 10am to 3pm at The Interchange in Old Colwyn. It was organised with and hosted alongside Jane McIlveen, Development Officer for The Down’s Syndrome Association (and Conwy Connect Committee Member). DSA-logo-02

The aim of the event was to

  • inform you about relationships
  • help you increase your confidence
  • enable you to discuss relationships
  • make you aware of contraceptives and how to keep safe

We tried to do this in a variety of ways – there were interactive presentations, discussion groups, workshops, games and quizzes as well as a role play by the Venture Drama Group. Everyone was given an information pack to take away with them.

The event was well attended and it was great to see so many people feeling comfortable enough to talk openly about sex and relationships on the day.
