Connect Forum Visits the Senedd to Launch All Wales People First Manifesto – 23rd Feb 2016
The Connect Forum visited the Senedd in Cardiff to launch the All Wales People First manifesto on the 23rd Feb 2016.
We showcased the Reducing Stigma work along with the Stay up Late and Connect Buddies Service.
Connect Forum has Social Media training – Jan 2016
Sionedd Wyn Williams from Wales Co-operative Centre came to train the forum on Social Media.
They discussed Digital Inclusion, and spoke about what they did online, and why people use social media.
The Connect Forum are very digitally included and use social media to share stories, communicate and they use a lot of apps for different things.
The group were warned to be mindful about what information they share online. They asked Sionedd a lot of questions about how to keep safe on Facebook and Sionedd went through the security settings with the Forum.
All Wales People First – Shell – Dec 2015
Shell attended All Wales People First meeting on the 15th December in Newport Gwent.
It was about the launch of the manifesto at the Senedd.
It is being launched on the 23rd Feb 2016 the National Council is being held on the 24th Feb 2016 in Newport.
We will be showcasing Connect Buddies and the Reducing Stigma work, Along with the work we have done on a regional level.
Cath informed the group there is still places available to come with us to the launch of the manifesto.
Conwy Connect Shine at LDW conference
Shell and Shayna came with us and gave a presentation on how being involved with the Reducing Stigma work and the Connect Forum have given them the confidence to begin to reach their potential.
The feedback we received from people that came to our workshop was amazing and being able to show the good work we do within Conwy Connect made us all extremely proud.
Sept 2014 Forum
The Connect Forum discussed changes to the participation strategy this month, We also planned and discussed our workshop for the up and coming LDW conference.
June 2014 Forum
The Connect Forum discussed health services at June’s forum, We also received a visit from Conwy County Councils Social Services department to chat about our experiences with social workers.
