This exciting service helps people with a learning disability to lead an active social life.
So if you are unable to go to events or other activities because you don’t have a support worker and feel a little nervous, or you only have a support worker until a certain time and this stops you from going to places – GET IN TOUCH!!
The service is funded by Gwynt Y Mor and is available to people who live in the following postcode areas: LL18, LL19, LL22, LL28, LL29, LL30, LL32 and CH8.
If you are unsure if you are eligible for a buddy call Alison Fletcher on 01492 536486 or email connect.buddies1gym@gmail.com to find out.
Volunteering – how can I become a buddy?
Being a buddy will cost you nothing and can be hugely rewarding. How often you are available and for how long is also entirely up to you.
There is a leaflet available about volunteering to be a Connect Buddy.
Once you’ve completed and returned the form we’ll help you through the rest of the process to being a buddy. Then we will link you up with someone who has requested a buddy as soon as a good match comes up.
